As soon as the drama is finished I will be posting a video online. The sermon went great, I used the lyrics at the very end and had the kids repeat after me. It was great! You might not care, but I would like to post the link anyway :)

This is the sermon:

I will be using Exordium in a small dramatic production this year and I am so excited, I am not taking credit for the songs or asking if I can make money off of it, nothing like that. I just wanted to let you guys know that your guys' music is very encouraging not to mention epic :) In fact, this very week I will be using some of your lyrics in a sermon that I will be speaking to a bunch of teenagers. Thanks for what you do!

May His grace and love be with you. Amen.

Question. How do you represent Jesus, and do you represent Him at all?
You are doing a good job making heathens think about life.. But, "i haven't found your works perfect before God".. Let me explain.. You bring all the attention to yourself, not to Christ. There is too much junk in your message, too much empty words.. And even if there is a word about salvation, it's not clear, and you have to read a booklet in order to understand what it means.. So, don't try to calm your conscience by telling that you do talk about God.. Read your 1 John 4 again.. The spirit is not something you say cuz you have to, or you are confronted by a question. The spirit is something that is part of you, part of your brain, the purpose and value of your life. Is the person of Christ as God in the flesh taking the sins of the world a main theme in your songs? No, it's not. So repent and do what's right.

Beautiful music, beautiful lyrics..
Many years i've been looking for a bands that will honor God, be open before God, speak the very words of God.
Man, there are so many themes that no other musical genre can handle as well as metal. The cross, death to self, the wrath of God, the Judgement, the Apocalypse.. And all they sing about is complete nonsense mixed with blatant pathos and broken relationships... Pathetic, in one word.
I'm so glad to discover another good band.
God bless and answer your prayer, bro.

Hey Josh,

Thanks for the tips. I will share them with my whole band. It will be hard to be looking for gigs as of yet, because we're all still in high school. Once we get a actually good recording, can I send it to you? And to do that could I have your email? Or is that weird? I hope all is going well. God bless! - Wesley Lantz

Hey Wesley,
Sorry for the late reply. The best I can tell you man is to start with the obvious stuff. Make sure your gear is dependable, and that you know how to use it properly. Make sure you are completely comfortable with your instrument and the music style you wish to pursue. DO NOT be afraid to take a few music lessons! Everyone in this band has had musical training, and it makes a world of difference. Make a good sounding demo...this will help gain the respect of your potential fans and help you find shows...which leads to....

Finding gigs....
This one is tough for everyone these days! Again...start small. Small shows in your home area. Work your local scene, expand out ...1 hour from home...2 hours from home...etc. Essentially make a spiral outward from your home area. PLAY FOR FREE whenever possible starting out...it will help you secure more gigs quickly. Be nice to promoters, help promote the show, befriend other local bands and be an asset to your music scene.

Hope it helps man! Good luck with the new band!

Hi Josh. I'm a drummer in a christian metal band that is just starting. I've heard both of you guy's Anvil and the Hammer episodes. And that's how I heard about you guys. I think that you're awesome. And your lyrics are so amazing. Do you have any advice on starting a band? And how to find gigs? Thanks. - Wesley Lantz
